IDF murders one Palestinian, harms three others in occupied West Bank
Health authorities stated that Mohammad Shaour, 20, died after being shot by Israeli forces near the town of Ad-Dhahiriya, located south of Hebron in the southern West Bank.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that one young man was hospitalized after being shot in the leg while trying to cross a separation barrier in Al-Ram, north of East Jerusalem.
Eyewitness accounts indicated that Israeli forces conducted a raid in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank, amid gunfire. The PRCS noted that two additional individuals were critically injured by Israeli fire in that town and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Reports also indicated that a Palestinian child was shot and injured during an Israeli raid in Turmus Ayya, northeast of Ramallah.
Authorities have reported that since October 2023, more than 1,059 Palestinians have been killed and over 10,300 wounded by Israeli forces in the West Bank.
In a notable ruling last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories illegal and called for the removal of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
