Israeli Violence Kills Two Palestinian Teens in West Bank

(MENAFN) Two Palestinian teenagers lost their lives Monday morning following violent confrontations with Israeli settlers and military forces in the occupied West Bank, official sources confirmed.

Ahmed Rubhi al-Atrash, 19, succumbed to a fatal gunshot wound inflicted by an Israeli settler at Hebron's northern gateway, a news agency reported.

According to eyewitness accounts provided to the agency, Israeli military personnel blocked Red Crescent emergency responders from accessing al-Atrash, who remained on the ground hemorrhaging until death. Authorities later retrieved his remains after summoning his relatives for identification purposes.

Meanwhile, the Health Ministry announced that Jamil Atef Hannani, 17, died from life-threatening injuries sustained during Sunday night's Israeli military raid in Beit Furik, located east of Nablus.

The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed Hannani received a direct chest wound from live ammunition and was rushed to Rafidia Government Hospital, where medical staff declared him deceased.

Since October 2023, Israeli military operations throughout the occupied West Bank have intensified dramatically, resulting in 1,063 Palestinian fatalities and leaving 10,300 wounded, Palestinian authorities report.

Last July, the International Court of Justice issued a historic ruling declaring Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories unlawful, demanding complete withdrawal of all settlements from the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
